Tim might be a silent superstar, but one honor speaks loudly: In 2003-04, he was co-winner (with David Robinson) of Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year award. The Admiral calls Duncan "one of the smartest basketball players I've ever seen," and teammates and foes alike are unanimous in praise of his character.

After winning All American honors twice as a collegian, "Moose" plans to keep going full speed ahead in the pro ranks. In 1956, he invaded Madison Square Garden with his Louisville Squad and took over. He was voted the Most Valuable Player in the N.L.T. and scored almost at will against the other top college teams of the nation. As a rebounder, he had no equal, making 38 in one contest in 1956. During his senior year, he was outscored by opposing centers only twice in 29 games and was always top man in rebounds.

Following a noteworthy career at Wichita State, Dave demonstrated ability to provide an instant surge when he entered pro lineup as he collected career high of 35 points vs. Royals in mid-February, 1967. Came to Bullets in trade 11-11-71.
