Acquired by the Bulls from the Super Sonics after the first three games of the 1972-73 season, Garfield was a real surprise package when he joined Seattle in 1970. His quick hands defensively and his steady board play kept him in the lineup. Then, teaming with Spencer Haywood and Don Smith on the frontline, his contributions made a near contender out of the Sonics.



Notched three of the 24 triple-doubles recorded in the NBA last season...Was one of only two players in the league to have accomplished the feat three times during the 1994-95 campaign, joining Jason Kidd...Notched his fourth career triple-double with 17 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists vs. Orlando 4/19/95...Missed 19 games (12/23/94-2/1/95) because of a dislocated left shoulder...1993-94 NBA Rookie of the Year...Became only the third Rookie of the Year winner in NBA history to be traded the following season when he was dealt to Washington 11/17/94.



One of the NBA's most improved big men, Schrempf was Indiana's leading rebounder with eight a game and third leading scorer with 16.1 ppg. A former soccer star and exchange student from West Germany, Schrempf, always known for his all-around athletic abilities, has become the league's most feared weapon off the bench.
