The third overall pick of the 1989 draft started off slowly but came on at the end of his rookie season. Sean played in all but one game in 1989-90 and was the Spurs' fifth-best scorer and top shooter from the free-throw line. In 1989, Elliott captured the Wooden Award as college basketball's player-of-the-year. Sean also broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's PAC-10 scoring record. Ironically, he broke the mark in a game against UCLA, Jabbar's school.

A three-time NBA All-Star Game starter before he turned 23, Kobe seems destined for all-time greatness. Incredibly, he's still getting better. Much better. In '00-01, he boosted his scoring average six points per game to 28.5 (fourth in the NBA) while maintaining both his shooting percentage and rate of assists - no easy feat. Along the way, he chalked up a 51-point game, as well as the first two triple-doubles of what should be a boatload of them in his career.

Clippers' second-leading scorer (18.0 ppg) in 1992-93... Recorded a triple-double (28 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists) vs. Golden State 4/17/92... Selected to the 1986-87 NBA All-Rookie Team... All-time leading scorer in Mid-American Conference history with 2,377 points.
