Jermaine developed into one of the most dominant big men in the Eastern Conference in '00-01. He led all Eastern players in both double-doubles (40) and blocked shots (228). Jermaine saved his greatest performance for the season finale. Against Cleveland on April 18, he registered 30 points and 20 rebounds, both career highs.
Although Latrell's PPG dropped a couple of ticks, the Warriors were so thrilled with his maturity they named him a co-captain in mid season. "He's a better all-around player than he used to be," said Coach Rick Adelman. "He's just learning what he can do."
