By mid-season he was getfing steady playing time, finally earning his first start in Week 10 against the Eagles. Alexander closed the season on a roll by averaging four receptions and 42 yards per game (while adding three more touchdowns) during the final seven weeks. By season's end, his value to the Redskins was apparent, as Washington was 4-1 in his starts, but only 2-9 in other games.
