One of the all-time great quarterbacks in professional football, Johnny holds the National Football League record with 2272 completed passes. The fancy flinger set a Colt record with 255 pass completions in one season, back in 1967.
Manning ended his Tennessee career with SEC records for wins as a starting QB (39), completions (863), passing yards (11,201), COMP% (62.5) and INT% (2.9). The three-time Academic All-American won the 1997 Maxwell Award as the nation's top player.
A series of injuries slowed Taliaferro down in the early stages of 1954 but he came on fast late in the season. Has completely recovered now and is set to regain his slot as the Colts best back, which he held in 1954. A great runner, an above average passer, a fine receiver, and a dependable punter, Taliaferro is considered by many to be the best all-around back in the game.
