Since the QB Sack became an official statistic in 1982, Dexter has compiled 64 1/2, more than anyone in the NFL. He was credited with 18 1/2 Sacks in 1986 to set new Redskins' club record. Dexter was accorded Pro Bowl recognition and saw action in Classic at Honolulu, 2-1-87. A flamboyant performer, he played with a unique "Mohawk-style" haircut in '83.

Despite missing five games with a fracture of the upper arm, Houston's Warren Moon still finished among AFC leaders in many categories. The perfect field general for the rigorous "Run 'n Shoot" offense, Moon finished the 1992 season as the AFC's top rated passer with an 89.3 mark. The man with the ageless arm also finished fifth in completions (224), second in the AFC in completion percentage (64.7%) and third in TD tosses (18). While leading the AFC's top-ranked passing attack, Moon made the most of all opportunities. He paced the conference by throwing a TD every 5.2 passes, proving not only that he could still perform but that, despite the development of an Oiler running game in the person of Lorenzo White, the "Run 'n Shoot" was still a fully loaded gun with the most lethal gunslinger in the East or West with his finger on the trigger.
