Won a position on the AP All-Pro team in 1952. Caught 15 touchdown passes to establish new Detroit all-time record. Ranked ninth in League standings on 42 receptions for 924 yards last year. In 1950, before a second tour of duty in Marines, he was third in pass receiving with 50 caught for 1,009 yards. Second highest scorer in NFL in '52 with 90 points.
