After a disasterous 2-10-2 record, the Giants, with 20 new men on their roster, bounced back to a respectable 7 and 7 in '65. They were in the race for a second place, and a spot in the Playoff Bowl, until the last day of the season.
A series of injuries slowed Taliaferro down in the early stages of 1954 but he came on fast late in the season. Has completely recovered now and is set to regain his slot as the Colts best back, which he held in 1954. A great runner, an above average passer, a fine receiver, and a dependable punter, Taliaferro is considered by many to be the best all-around back in the game.
