Does this look like a career destined for the Hall of Fame? In 1995, Eddie won the Heisman Trophy in his senior year at Ohio State. In '96, he was named the NFL Rookie of the Year. In '97-98, he earned back-to-back Pro Bowl bids. Nothing seems to slow George down. Included among last year's superlatives was a streak of five straight 100-yard games. George is one of six backs to top 4,000 yards rushing in his first three seasons.

Walt served a three-year apprenticeship on the Cowboys' bench behind Don Perkins and when Don retired prior to the 1969 season, Walt finally got his chance at a starting berth. That year he rushed for 818-vards and combined with Calvin Hill to form the best one-two punch in the club's history. An all-time star at Oklahoma State, he was a two-time All-Big Eight selection. Walt rushed for 730-yards as a junior and 924-yards in his senior year, including 121 against an undefeated Nebraska team and 173 against Kansas State. He played in the East-West Shrine Game and the Senior Bowl Game then was drafted by the Cowboys. He had an impressive rookie season in 1966, leading both the kickoff and punt coverage teams in tackles.

There are easier tasks in pro football than trying to circle big Gino's end. You certainly can't go through him, and going around him is no simpler. To make matters even worse, he harasses quarterbacks going to pass, and many's the play he has snuffed out with his charging tactics. If Gino can't get at the ball-carrier himself, he makes sure to take out the blockers.
