Anaheim's decision-makers wanted nothing more than to add a dash of veteran know-how to a young defensive rearguard in 2010-11. They brought back a familiar face in Beauchemin, a member of the Ducks' 2007 Stanley Cup-winning team. Anaheim acquired the blueliner in a Feb. 9 trade with Toronto.
Tony was named to the NHL's All-Rookie Team in '91-92 after leading all first-year players in goals (35), points (69) and power-play scores (9). The speedy winger spent the entire season on the Rangers' No. 1 line with Mark Messier and Adam Graves. Tony made his NHL debut for New York in the 1991 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Starting his 12th year with Canadiens, Jean Guy was possibly overshadowed on defence by the great Doug Harvey, but since Doug left Jean Guy has proven he is a star in his own right. An effective penalty killer, Jean Guy is often used as a forward to "beef up" the offense.
