Regarded by many experts as the greatest Hockey Player of all time, Gordie has averaged 69 Points per season in his 8 seasons in the N.H.L. During the past 4 seasons he led the League in Total Points and in 3 of these was the top Goal Scorer. Gordie came up to Detroit in 1946 after 1 year in the Minors. His greatest year was 1952-53 with 49 Goals and 46 Assists for 95 Points.
Born Jansen, Sask., Nov. 27, 1932. 5'10", 172. Shoots right. Kenny led AHL in goals before Rangers acquired him in 1959-60. He was used primarily to kill penalties last year. All of his pro minor experience was under Eddie Shore.
An excellent skater, Perry has a hard and accurate shot that overpowers opposing goalies. His 1980-81 statistics included 5 power play goals, 5 game winning goals and 2 game tying goals.
