Name that player!

Oh, boy, hasn't he got speed! You have to be on your toes every minute to see the ball. Dazzy has been pitching in the big league since 1922. He pitched for Brooklyn until he was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals. He is a right-handed pitcher, six feet, I inch tall and weighs 185 pounds. 40 years of age. Voted the most valuable player in the National League in 1924. Born on a farm at Orient, Ia. At the age of 20 he started his professional career. Won 12 games and lost 11 last year.

Cali, a consistent left-hander from Naples (FL), was chosen by the Cardinals in the 10th round of the 2000 June draft after a fine career at Florida Atlantic University. He helped the Owls reach the 2000 NCAA Tournament with a 10-3 record and a 3.36 ERA in 2000, striking out 89 batters in 93 2/3 IP.

"Cotton" is up for another Major League trial because of his fine record at Rochester in '53. He had brief trials with the Red Sox in '47 and '48, then was bought by the Cards and called up in '50 after a 14-8 mark and 2.75 ERA at Columbus. He played in the outfield for Columbus in '51 and then returned to the mound to win 14 for Rochester in '52.
