Name that player!

Sandy is one of the Senators' Spanish-speaking ball players. He was once looked over by Minneapolis. Was sent, however, to the Havana club of the Florida-International League. For that team in 1949 he compiled a win-lose record of 6-5 in 11 games. He worked a total of 77 innings. Had a favorable balance in walks and strikeouts. Free-ticketed 18 batsmen, while fanning 23 stick-wielders.

Experts predict a great Big League future for "Pete" who was named to the Rookie All-Star Team after the Senators called him up in the middle of the 1951 season. At Chattanooga in '51, he hit .356. A World War II veteran and former Rice Institute student, Jim started in the minors in 1949 and hit .372. In 1950 at Texarkana, he batted .330 and hit 10 home runs.

Dick is a relief pitcher who thrives on work. Beginning at Concord in '49 he posted a 6-4 record, seeing action in 39 games. After another season at Concord he went into service for two years and joined Charlotte upon his return in '53. There, Dick won 9 of 17 decisions and the following year hurled in 44 games, winning 6. After a try out with the Senators, he returned to Chattanooga to win 8 games in '55 and 15 last year. This imposing record makes him a key man on Washington's staff.
