Orioles Card of the Day

Jim Palmer
One of the most promising pitching prospects ever signed by the Baltimore Orioles, Jim joined the parent club after hurling just one season in the minors. While pitching in the Northern League in 1964, the left-hander spun a no-hitter against Duluth-Superior. The high-priced bonus player is handy with a bat, helping himself out with his hitting ability on numerous occasions. Jim attracted many big league scouts while pitching for his Arizona high school.
