Hit .215 in 59 games for Indians in 1950. Drove in 21 runs. Playing mainly at third with the Newark Bears in 1946, Allie hit .344. Came to Yanks in 1947 after hitting .334 in 110 games for Bears. Hit .373 in 24 games for Yanks. Traded to the Indians. for 1948. Hit .310 in 81 games. Divided 1949 season between: Indians and San Diego of the Pacific Coast League. Spent some time in Army.



Recorded a .326 batting average during 1950. Slugged out 25 home runs. Drove 102 runs across the plate. Besides wielding a potent bat, Larry is a top-notch fielder. He began in organized baseball with the Indians in 1947. Appeared in 29 games as an in- fielder. Became a regular in the outfield in 1948. Hit .301, and knocked in 66 runs. Batted .280 in 1949, and drove 85 tallies over the dish.



Won 16 and lost 11 in 1950. Earned run average, 3.43. Recognized as one of the all-time greats. Set a modern major league record by striking out 18 batters in one 9-inning game. Holds record of 348 strikeouts in a single season. Has led League in strikeouts 7 seasons, and in games won 5 seasons. Has 2 no-hitters. With Indians 12 seasons. Never with another team. In the Navy 3 years.

Steve Hargan
In Steve's first full season in the majors in 1966, the handsome righthander compiled the third lowest E.R.A. in the American League. Last year, he pitched 15 complete ballgames including six shutouts. This 25 year old is a fine all-round athlete. As a teenager, Steve led his high school basketball team to the city championship.
