Elgin Baylor
This all-around performer can play any position on the court. Rookie of the Year in 1958-59, Elgin had his greatest scoring campaign last season with 2,538 points. On Nov. 15, 1960 he shattered the record output for one game, sinking a fantastic 71 points against the Knickerbockers. He also set a record for most successful free throws in a season, connecting on 676 tries. He was the players' choice on the All-Star team for the third straight time.

With 11-year total of 21,725 pts., Baylor last season passed Bob Pettit as pro basketball's No. 2 all-time scorer. A standout rebounder as well, Elgin has been named All-NBA nine times.



Last year with Lakers, in NBL, big George broke every NL scoring record and led circuit in scoring with 1,195 points in 56 games. Was named unanimous All-National League Center. He set new record for points in a single game with 42, most field goals in a game with 17 and most field goals in a season with 406. He also broke NBL free throw record by scoring 383 points in 56 games. He is rated by experts as the greatest basketball player in history.



Already the NBA's all-time scoring champion, Wilt is approaching Bill Russell's record of 21,721 rebounds. The only center in history to lead the league in assists.
