Magic Card of the Day

Jonathan Isaac
Digging in on defense for Orlando in 2019-20, Isaac made sure to protect the rim while also shutting down passing lanes. The determined forward racked up 30 rejections and 14 steals during the first 10 games of the season. He become the first in franchise history to hit those marks in that span.

Name that player!

Subscribing to an off-season program of weights and aerobics (in which he was joined by Wayne Gretzky), Shag added 25 pound of brawn to his already legendary strength. That's daunting news for opposing centers who watched him throw down a league leading 333 dunks last year.

Some players specialize in scoring around the rim. Fultz specializes in scoring around him. Knocking down buckets through traffic, he finds the net around him, him and him. The Orlando guard doesn't stop until he's facilitated a field goal against every player on the opposing roster.

Selected by the Orlando Magic in the 1989 Expansion Draft... Elected to play two seasons in Europe before entering the NBA... The only player in Oral Roberts history to lead the team in scoring and rebounding for all four years... Honorable mention all-America four years.

Back to the Front! Magic card back du jour...

Orlando Magic, Nick Anderson
The Magic began play in the NBA in 1989-90, but many people will point to the 1992 NBA Draft as the team's jumping-off point. The addition of superstar center Shaquille O'Neal with the first overall pick brought the franchise instant respectability and delivered the club to a new level of competitiveness. DID YOU KNOW? On the strength of its best start ever (8-3), the Magic ended the season's opening month in first place in the Atlantic Division for the first time ever. With Matt Guokas at the helm since 1989, the Magic are the only NBA team that has never made a coaching change. SCORECARD. Guokas earned his 200th career win December 19, 1992, as Orlando beat the Hawks 125-84 for the largest margin of victory in franchise history.
