The Kings have played in the East (Rochester Royals, 1948-57; Cincinnati Royals, 1957-72) and the West (Sacramento, 1985-present) with a stop in the Midwest in between (Kansas City-Omaha Kings, 1972-75; Kansas City Kings, 1975-85). The only NBA Championship in the franchise's 44-year history came in 1951, when the Royals beat the Knicks 4-3. DID YOU KNOW? Michael found his niche last season: rebounding. He pulled down almost 10 boards a night, placing him tied for 14th in the league.
