A free agent in 2021, Dinwiddie chose to join the Wizards thanks in large part to the prospects of playing alongside Bradley Beal. It was a place I wanted to go to, being familiar with Beal and his game, matching up both age-wise and play-style wise," he said. Those two should create a dynamic backcourt duo.

Making his playoff debut in 2021, Hachimura looked ready for the bright lights. In his team's first round matchup with Philadelphia, he averaged 14.8 points and 7.2 rebounds over the five-game set. In Game 4, the up-and-coming forward posted a double-double to help power his team to a win.
