All Service and all-Army fullback last fall with Fort Jackson, S. C. Regarded as greatest athlete in University of Florida history. Starred at fullback, halfback and quarterback. Great runner, blocker, pass receiver, punter, passer and place kicker. Averaged better than 6 yards per try in Service football, gaining 569 yards in 92 attempts.

Last year, Don thrilled Bear fans with an amazing 100 yard kickoff return. A tricky, speedy runner, the flashy freshman led the Bears in Kickoff Returns and Punt Runbacks last season.



Bears' most explosive receiver, with 18.3-yard career average per catch. Had four touchdown catches in 1988, including scoring plays of 63 yards (Buffalo), 39 (Dallas), and 31 (Detroit). Only Bears rookie to earn starting job in 1987, starting all 12 non-strike games and catching 42-yard touchdown pass against defending Super Bowl-champion Giants. Led team in receiving all four years at SMU and finished career as third-leading receiver in school's history with 147 catches and 14 touchdowns. First-team All-Southwest Conference as senior. Won Texas 100- and 200-meter championships in high school.



Led way for California's powerful rushing attack in 1991, earning first-team All-America honors ...Helped open holes for running back Russell White and rest of ground gainers who combined to average 214.6 rushing yards per game...Credited with making key blocks on pair of 1-yard touchdown runs by White in narrow victory over UCLA...Three-year starter.
