Butch Bouchard
Butch is now in his 14th year of NHL competition, and is still a power on the Canadien defense. In the 3rd game of the semi-finals last year, Bouchard got 2 goals and became the all-time playoff point producer among defensemen with 31 points garnered through 92 playoff contests. Butch spends most of the summer at his restaurant-cafe the "Chez Butch Bouchard."

John is a great defensive player, probably the finest sweep checker in hockey today, and one of the best the NHL has ever seen. He's used mostly in penalty-killing roles and has proven invaluable to the club in that capacity. He's determined to stay in the NHL and can be counted on to give his best. Has worked in the lumber business and in an advertising agency.

Who is it?


Injuries play an important role in the life of every athlete and Boom Boom Geoffrion, to his chagrin, has found this to be all too true. In the past two seasons he has played only 100 of 140 scheduled games and in 41 starts last season, failed for the first time in six seasons to score 20 goals.

Graceful and effective, Jacques won rookie of the year award in 1962-63. Broken leg sidelined him in Stanley Cup finals. Has booming shot off point.

Yvan Cournoyer
Despite his size, Yvan is one of the trickiest performers in the NHL. He's a power play specialist and led all Montreal goal-scorers last sea son with 47. Because of his speed, the opposition is often forced to assign a "shadow" to Cournoyer.
