Eddie Mazur
A steady, consistent player throughout the season Eddie came into his own during the playoffs and looks like a regular from here in. On the left side of the revamped "Punch Line," Mazur did most of the puck-carrying and checking for the trio throughout the series. "Spider" can be found anytime at the ballpark during the summer months.

The 1956-57 season was in many respects, another big year in Doug Harvey's NHL carreer. Selected as winner of the Norris Trophy for the third year and to the First All Star Team for the sixth straight year, he also broke his own record for most assists by a defenceman in a season, scoring 44. It is interesting to note that never before in the history of the All Stars, has any defenceman made the First Team six consecutive years.

Began his N.H.L. career with Red Wings. Sold to Canadiens in 1945, he has been with them since.

Built like a California redwood tree, Jacques Laperriere ran into several leg injuries during his early days with the Montreal Canadiens. At 22, he won the Calder Trophy as rookie of the year. Two years later, he was voted the winner of the Norris Trophy as NHL's best defenseman.

Nobody ever broke into big league hockey with wider acclaim than Jean. In 12 seasons with the Habs, the big center has made the all-stars six times, and has twice been the NHL's MVP. His 338 goals most ever by NHL center.
