In the Cardinals' lineup for 93 games in 1950. Hit .256. Drove in 23 runs. In first complete season for St. Louis (1949), Eddie had a .304 batting average in 92 games. Drove in 42 runs. Kept out of action for most of the latter part of the season by an ankle injury. Brought up from Rochester and played third base in 6 games for Cards, 1948. 2nd baseman until then. In service 3 years.
Andrew has a flair for the dramatic. On April 12, Manager Dave Martinez called upon Andrew to pinch hit in the seventh inning and he went yard. He also hit two late, game- tying HRS in a three-week span in the second half, one on August 12 with Washington down to its last out.
