The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired the hustling outfielder from the Detroit Tigers on April 9, 1964. The well traveled veteran had many successful minor league campaigns. In 1954. Lou batted .322 at Pampa. Lou led the Midwest League with a lofty .365 batting average. He continued his fine hitting with L.A. and contributed to their great success in 1965. Lou is also a fine defensive outfielder.
Doug is not overpowering, but he keeps the ball low, hits spots, is fough in the clutch and features three different types of curveballs. The 1990 NL Cy Young Award winner when he had 22 victories, he ranked third in ERA in the league in '94.
Last year, Jake played at all four infield positions for the Tigers. The infielder led the American League with 14 triples as a rookie in 1961. Quick-legged Jake swiped 30 bases for Detroit that year.
