The third overall pick of the 1989 draft started off slowly but came on at the end of his rookie season. Sean played in all but one game in 1989-90 and was the Spurs' fifth-best scorer and top shooter from the free-throw line. In 1989, Elliott captured the Wooden Award as college basketball's player-of-the-year. Sean also broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's PAC-10 scoring record. Ironically, he broke the mark in a game against UCLA, Jabbar's school.
The second leading scorer in the history of the University of Cincinnati (1849 points) Madinah was named to the All-Conference USA First Team in both 1999 and 2000.
Drafted by the Grizzlies with the 18th pick in the 1995 NBA Expansion Draft. Finished 12th NBA season with the Pacers and averaged 10.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 19.1 minutes per game.
