Perhaps the most powerful performer in the 1993 NBA Slam-Dunk Championship, Clarence Weatherspoon made it all the way to the finals on the strength of his thunderous slams. After qualifying with scores of 43.2 and 44.3 in the first round, Weatherspoon trotted out his best two dunks in the finals. He opened with a one-handed 360-degree windmill from the baseline for 44.7 points. He missed a reverse two-hander before another jam from under the basket catapulted him into second place with a 47.5 score.
The most prolific scorer in the history of basketball, Wilt missed most of 1969-70 due to an injury. Approaching 30,000 points, his average of 50.4 in 1962-63 is unapproachable.
