Powerful back with good speed and receiving skills... Rushed for 3,074 yards in three seasons to finish fifth on North Carolina's all-time list... Ranks second in school history with 34 rushing touchdowns...Also had 61 career receptions for 500 yards... Ran for 1,195 yards (5.1-yard average) and 13 touchdowns in 1992... Added 128 yards and touchdown in Peach Bowl victory over Mississippi State... Rushed for 1,030 yards and 11 scores in 1991.
Chuck had a great athletic career in college. Named All-Big Five, All-West Coast and Honorable Mention All-America, the middle linebacker played in the '60 Rose Bowl and the '61 Hula Bowl. Voted the Rookie of the Year by the 1961 Chargers, Chuck suffered a broken ankle in the ninth game of his freshman season. Chuck played in the 1964 A.F.L. All-Star game.
Big Jim has been a starting center since his rookie year, in '53, with the Packers. He missed playing in the 2nd half of that year but hasn't sat out since.
