Coffee Talk Name that player!
Some players are meant to for the biggest spotlights. That's certainly true of Samuel, who has been a monster in each of the past two postseasons for the 49ers. After posting 291 total yards with both rushing and receiving scores in playoffs after the 2021 season, he posted another 245 yards with a rushing score a year later.
The last time the Bengals selected a wide receiver in the top five, they nabbed A.J. Green out of the University of Georgia at No. 4 in 2011. Good pick: Green ran up 9,430 receiving yards and 65 TDs in 10 seasons in Cincinnati. A decade later, the Bengals nabbed Chase at No.5 with the hope that he'll put up similar numbers as Green's replacement.
Dainard proved his worth quickly to the New York Jets' coaches. Joining the club as a rookie in 1961, he adapted himself so quickly that before the year was over Dainard was tabbed "the best defensive back on the squad." At Oregon State Dainard played tailback in the single wing system. Also a top punter, he averaged 45.5 yards a kick at college. Dainard is quiet but he always seems to do his work efficiently.
