Angels Card of the Day

Athleticism was prized in 1987, as in every era. Brandon's speed, outfield defense and ability to hit the ball into the gaps would have shined then, along with his plus-plus arm.

In July, Janson had the lowest ERA in all the Minors. He has two breaking balls to pair with his 97-mph fastball that had a solid spin rate. His curveball is MLB average and he's worked tirelessly to improve his slider. Janson has expert control (2.8% MLB walk rate).

This promising young infielder had the longest hitting streak in the American League last season - 16 games. During his hot spree, Aurelio had 27 hits in 64 at bats for a .422 average.
