Indians Card of the Day

Joe Vosmik
Batting Tips - Follow Through. Joe Vosmik is one of the few "hometown" players in the major leagues, being a native of Cleveland where he plays for the Indians. Joe's advice to young players is to find the stance which best suits your type of swing, whether near to the plate or far away and, depending on whether your arms are short or long, or whether you are tall or chunky. You may get results from a short choppy stride, like Vosmik's, or a long one like Mel Ott's, or a flat footed one with feet wide apart like Lynn Lary's.
