Following an accolade-laden career at the University of Oregon, Sabally leaped to the WNBA as she became the second overall pick and joined Dallas. In her debut in the 2020 season opener against Atlanta, the forward proved she belonged on the professional stage by posting 11 points to go with five boards and five helpers.
For the first time since she was in high school, Samuelson will be teammates with her sister, Karlie. The reunion happened when Dallas acquired Katie Lou in a trade with Chicago in February 2020. "It took me a while to even process where I was going and the fact that Karlie would be there because it was shocking." she said.
Kuier models her game after WNBA legend and Sky forward Candace Parker. "I want to be one of the players who is very versatile and does a lot of things," she said. "But I think I want to get better at post play. I'm very good at driving and shooting, but having good moves inside the paint is very important for me."
